Great Pictures Of Tiger
Tigers Homepage
Tiger Woods in my mind is the best golfer of all time.  In the 2000 season Golf Digest rated Tiger the twelfth best golfer of all time.  I think this was very farfetched, Tiger has brought many new fans, and has increased the games popularity by an immense amount.  Tiger has always been raised to make a difference in the world.  In 1996 Tiger established the Tiger Woods Foundation which promotes health, education, and welfare to underprivileged children.  Tiger's skill level in my mind has broken the barrier of all the competition including Palmer, Nicklas, and Hogan.

This is my website I made in appreciation of Tiger Woods.
Look at the way Tiger's hips swing as he follows through for the most distance out of his shot.  This is a perfected swing - the follow through and backswing are long and completely directed and balanced,  leaving a perfect shot and good positioning on the green.
Look at Tiger's perfect finesse - You can almost see every muscle moving to create a powerful shot.

Other Tips: Short-sided solution: When Tiger finds himself short-sided (less green between the ball and the hole than there is on the opposite side of the hole) he aims at a spot two inches behind the ball taking a full upper back swing without decelerating letting the clubs force finish the shot - leaving perfect positioning and minimal roll with good backspin.

1.  On the final round of every tournament Tiger wears a red shirt because in Thailand where Tiger's mother comes from it's a good luck color.
2. When Tiger was only 17, him and his father would send out an anti-drug message giving demonstrations of how Tiger hit the golf ball if he was on crack and without being on crack.
3.  When Tiger plays he can hear his father speaking to him before every shot giving himself a mental direction and confidence in his shot.

Tiger Woods  The Fight against Racism  Genre 5

Domination, consistency, technique, confidence, determination  these words say it all.  Tiger keeps getting better, and anytime soon it isn't going to stop.  Tiger keeps soaring to success, recently being the first to hold all four major championships at once.  The most obvious trait of Woods is that he can do everything.  Tiger has no weaknesses and nothing can hold Tiger back  he is too determined, but all the power and skill couldn't transcend one thing  racism.

In the late eighties golf was seen as a game principally played by elitist white men.  Tiger being young and black was restricted from playing golf at many courses, but didn't understand the reasons why.  A lot of the time Tiger had to write to the golf course he wished to attend asking for a special letter from the owner of the course to grant him permission to play because of his color.  As Tiger grew older and was starting to gain more fame, the racial prejudices became even worse.  Tiger would get anonymous mail, and phone calls filled with racial threats and comments.  When Tiger was 17 he received an anonymous letter saying "You can take the nigger out of the jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of the nigger."  Tiger said he'd never forget this.  If Tiger had taken too much offense to comments like these he would have built up a lot of anger and depression that might have made him quit. Instead of succumbing to the cruelty of these racist remarks against his family's background and values, Woods did the right thing. When he dealt with racism and turned an obstacle into an opportunity.  He channeled this energy positively and became more motivated to become pro and show people that regardless of color or race everyone deserved an equal chance.  Tiger rose to the challenge so that other black children would have a mentor and someone to look up to.

The racism definitely didn't stop Tiger. He had too much determination for people to prevent him from playing golf.  People had to equalize the rights and make the world fair regardless of race or color.  Continuing in to the early nineties Tiger was still threatened by more attacks on racism.  He received more mail with racial slurs like "Just what we need, another nigger in sports."  Tiger did not let these comments get the best of him. Tiger started to focus on why the world was still like this in the nineties and how he would change people's attitudes.

Tiger helps kids of all cultures and races by supplying them with the necessary equipment and a place to practice golf in order to give them the chance of playing golf, even if they didn't have the money.  Tiger continues to help underprivileged children, through the Tiger Woods Foundation he is helping disadvantaged families with financial support for the benefits of their children to promote health, education, and welfare.

Who is the Greatest Golfer Ever?  This is a question that has puzzled sports writers and golf fans since the game began.  Over the last 20 years Nicklaus, Palmer, and Hogan, have all been strong contenders.  But no one has ever approached the greatness of Tiger Woods.  At only age 3 Tiger shot a 48 over nine holes at the Navy Golf Club in his hometown of Cypress, California.  Then at age 8 Tiger won the Optimist International Junior Championship in the 8-15 age category; Tiger was the youngest player ever to win. Tiger kept moving forward.  At the age of 15 he once again was breaking barriers and setting new records; he became the youngest U.S. Junior Amateur Champion in history.

To become the best golfer of all time wasn't as natural for Tiger as it looked to the public eye.  A lot of people saw Tiger as a good golfer but why is he the best?
Racism  A lot of people think how he over came racism in golf as the most obvious reason for Tigers' fame, but Tiger did more then over come racist remarks and comments.  Even without mentioning racism, Tiger is undeniably still the greatest golfer.
Long hours of practice and dedication - Tiger endured endless hours weekly practicing the fundamentals of golf he needed to become a pro.  Unlike other pro golfers Tiger was never satisfied with his skills, he was always working to perfect his shots.  Tiger wasn't pushed anywhere where he didn't want to go.  Tiger's drive and ambitious ways came from within.
Media Attacks, expectations, schoolwork, family  No matter how busy Tiger was he didn't let golf rule his life.  Tiger kept close family relationships, and maintained close bonds with his parents.  Tiger wasn't finished with school by the time he came pro; he attended Stanford University to get an education he could fall back on.  Tiger had outrageous expectations for a young golfer that most people believed he wouldn't be able to live up to.  Motivated by his Dad's expectations, combined with all the pressure, Tiger developed into one of the best golf legends of all time.  Through becoming famous and being surrounded by the media Tiger didn't change his personality and kept true to himself, valuing the things that meant the most to him, and remembering the lessons he learned in his childhood.
Beating the rest  This year in April Tiger won the Master's Tournament; he is now the first golfer ever to hold all four professional major championships at the same time.
Tiger is constantly bringing new fans to the game, and increasing the popularity of golf. Woods is the best, he expects to win and his competitors expect him to win.  The best players today confess that when Tiger is on his game, no one can beat him.
The perfect modern role model - As a result of a childhood lesson, Tiger learnt the value of making a difference in the world.  In 1996 he introduced the Tiger Woods Foundation, promoting health, education, and welfare for underprivileged children.  Not by just being one of the best golfers' but also being sincere enough to help millions of children in North America makes him confidently a genuine person and a true role model for people to follow.  Tiger always displayed integrity, honesty, and diplomacy in everything he stood for.

Recent polls and ratings have ranked Tiger usually in the top 10 as the greatest golfer ever, but the 2000 Golf Digest (popular golf magazine), rated Tiger as the twelfth best golfer of all time behind Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and other golf legends.  This rating was preposterous and out of proportion.  Tiger Woods is the one who has set and broken most of the records, and is still going many lengths to achieve his goals.  He should be the number one golfer of all time and if anyone can match his talent and skill he would surrender his title like the Golf Media should do with other legends of Golf stating their time is up and Tiger Woods is pushing through.
